Perhaps one of the rarest birds we’ve run in the past decade is the Vacheron Constantin Kalla Lord ref. 35711 timepiece which features no less than 316 emerald-cut diamonds, including 26 set into the dial. All gemstones have been carefully matched for uniform clarity, color, and cut. Totaling 55 carats in all and forming 8,216 gleaming facets, they are mounted on 140 grams of solid 18K white gold. The watch crystal is made of corundum, the hardest natural substance after diamond, and an iconic watch from the early 1980s.

Today July 2, 2024, Richemont announced that Louis Ferla, currently Chief Executive Officer of Vacheron Constantin will succeed Cyrille Vigneron as Chief Executive Officer of Cartier, effective September 1, 2024. Mr. Vigneron, who has decided to retire after eight successful years at the helm of the Maison, will assume the position of Chairman of Cartier Culture & Philanthropy effective the same date as Louis Ferla becomes CEO of the brand and work with Ferla to ensure a smooth transition.

At Watches & Wonders 2024, the oldest watch manufacture in the world presented an updated Patrimony Manual-Winding with a smaller case measuring 39 mm —one millimeter smaller than its predecessor— in diameter and available in either 18K white gold as reference 1410U/000G-H017 or in 18K pink gold as reference 1410U/000R-H018.

Our second favorite in this new lineup is the Overseas Chronograph reference 5520V/210R-B966. The warm tones of the 5N pink gold and the intensity of the sunburst green dial create a combination that is pure fire and as sexy as it gets.

One of the big stars of Watches & Wonders 2024 is the new Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph Platine in a 50-piece limited edition. Equipped with a platinum 42.5 mm case, crown, dial, clasp, and strap stitching —silk and platinum thread— also in platinum, this watch is one of those that takes your breath away. Combining two complications, a tourbillon, and a mono-pusher chronograph, the perfectly legible dial features a large tourbillon aperture at 12 o'clock, while the 45-minute chronograph counter is positioned at 3 o'clock and the power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock.

Both watches are simply gorgeous and perfectly sized for unisex wear.

Vacheron Constantin is expanding its range of titanium watches with a new Overseas Tourbillon model this time with a blue lacquered dial. Entirely made of titanium with a 42.5 mm case and a bracelet, crown, and bezel also in titanium, the new Overseas Tourbillon Titanium Blue ref. 6000V/210T-H032 is the perfect successor to the first titanium Overseas Tourbillon Skeleton presented in 2022.

One of our favorites is the new Overseas Dual Time Sunburst Green Dial ref. 7920V/210R-B965 which could have easily been released as a special edition for Mexico because of the combination of the green dial and the red accents on the AM/PM indicator and on the dual time pointer hand.

New diameter, new dial and strap colors, customization: the collection continues to be firmly rooted in the modernity of its era with three new models. Two manual-winding models in white gold or pink gold feature a new 39 mm diameter, an antique silver-toned dial, a closed case back providing scope for personalized engraving and two new strap colors in azure blue or olive-green. Lastly, a new white gold model with moon phases and retrograde date with an old-silver-toned dial and an olive-green alligator strap.
